Klayar beach is one of most exiting beaches in Each Java. Actually, this beach is rarely visited by tourists. There are some reason for that, let’s say the location is quite isolated but belive me its beauty is amazing.
Administratively, Klayar Beach is located in Donorojo district, Pacitan. It is about 35 kilometers from Pacitan toward west. From Yogyakarta you can drive through the route Yogyakarta – Wonosari – Pracimantoro – Klayar. Overall, the road is quite good but it looks empty. Once you are in T-junction or intersection, you have to careful to read the sign. The beach is more seemed isolated by the absence of mobile phone signals. You have to hike the hill if you want to get the signal. I estimated the trip from Yogyakarta to Klayar for 5 hours. If you feel lost, don’t be hesitate to ask the local people.
Klayar beach has white sand and the water is blue. From several spot of the rock you can see the real natural water fountain. The fountain comes from the water under the rock. The waves crash the rock and the water spouting from the holes make sound like a flute. It can spurt 7 meters high.
